Connect OpenWeatherMap to clariBI with your API key to sync daily weather history (temperature, humidity, pressure, wind) for the locations you choose, read-only, with auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.
## Connect OpenWeatherMap to clariBI The OpenWeatherMap connector syncs daily weather history for the locations you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. It reads through the One Call timemachine API, which returns one reading per day. ### What you need - An OpenWeatherMap API key from [openweathermap.org](https://openweathermap.org/api) with One Call API 3.0 access. ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find OpenWeatherMap. 2. Paste your OpenWeatherMap API key. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Search the locations to track by name; clariBI resolves their coordinates. Choose how much history to pull. 4. clariBI syncs the daily weather, preprocesses it, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each location: daily temperature, humidity, pressure, and wind speed. The connector reads only and never changes your account. ### Notes The timemachine API returns one reading per day, so clariBI makes one call per day across the history window. A wide window for many locations uses more of your One Call quota, so start with a modest history window and the locations you most need.
