Shopify is one of the most popular e-commerce platforms, and it provides straightforward CSV export options for your store data. Importing this data into clariBI lets you unlock AI-driven insights across orders, products, and customer behavior.
What You Can Export from Shopify

Export CSV Data from Shopify
Method 1: Export Orders
- Log in to your Shopify admin at your-store.myshopify.com/admin
- Navigate to Orders in the left sidebar
- Use filters to narrow down by date range, status (fulfilled, unfulfilled, refunded), or other criteria
- Click the Export button at the top of the orders list
- Choose to export Current page, All orders, or Orders matching your filter
- Select CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs as the format
- Click Export orders and the CSV file will download or be emailed to you for large exports
Method 2: Export Products
- Go to Products in the left sidebar
- Apply any filters if needed (by status, vendor, collection, etc.)
- Click the Export button at the top of the products list
- Choose the scope: Current page, All products, or Selected products
- Select CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs
- Click Export products and download the file
Method 3: Export Customers
- Navigate to Customers in the left sidebar
- Apply filters to select specific customer segments if desired
- Click the Export button at the top of the customer list
- Choose the export scope and CSV format
- Click Export customers and download the file
Method 4: Export Analytics Reports
- Go to Analytics > Reports in the left sidebar
- Select the report you want (e.g., Sales over time, Sales by product, Sessions by referrer)
- Set the date range for the report
- Click the Export button in the top right corner of the report
- Choose CSV and download the file
Tips for Clean Exports
- Use date range filters when exporting orders to keep file sizes manageable and focused on the period you want to analyze
- Export products and orders separately, then let clariBI help you cross-reference product performance with order data
- For financial analysis, use the Analytics > Reports section rather than raw order exports, as they include calculated totals
Import Your Data into clariBI
- Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
- Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
- Click the + Add Source button (top right)
- Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Shopify - Orders Q1 2025")
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
- Click Create Data Source
