Connect Commodities-API to clariBI with your access key to sync daily commodity prices (wheat, corn, oil, sugar) for the symbols you choose, read-only, with auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.
## Connect Commodities-API to clariBI The Commodities-API connector syncs the daily price history of the commodities you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. ### What you need - A Commodities-API access key from your [Commodities-API account](https://commodities-api.com). - The commodity symbols you want (for example WHEAT, CORN, BRENTOIL). You can browse symbols at the Commodities-API `/symbols` endpoint. ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find Commodities-API. 2. Paste your access key. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Enter the commodity symbols to track, set the base currency, and choose how much history to pull. 4. clariBI syncs the prices, preprocesses them, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each commodity: the daily rate against your base currency. The connector reads only and never changes anything.
