## Connect CoinMarketCap to clariBI The CoinMarketCap connector syncs daily crypto price history for the coin symbols you type, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. ### What you need - A free CoinMarketCap API key from [coinmarketcap.com](https://coinmarketcap.com/api/). ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find CoinMarketCap. 2. Paste your CoinMarketCap API key. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Type the coin symbols to track (for example BTC, ETH, SOL), then choose how many days of history to pull. 4. clariBI syncs the daily prices, preprocesses them, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each coin: daily open, high, low, close, volume, and market cap in USD. The connector reads only and never places a trade or changes your account. ### Notes Daily historical OHLCV is a credit-billed endpoint on CoinMarketCap. Type the coin symbols you most need, and keep the history window to what you will actually chart.
