GTmetrix + clariBI

Connect GTmetrix with your API key and track page performance scores and load timings for the URLs you choose, next to your traffic and revenue.

Native GTmetrix data-source connector.

Paste your GTmetrix API key, choose the URLs to test, and clariBI runs a test, waits for the report, and syncs the performance scores and timings into preprocessed datasets and auto-generated dashboards.

What is GTmetrix?

GTmetrix is a web performance testing service that measures how fast a page loads and grades it on performance and structure.

clariBI reads GTmetrix through its REST API using your own API key: it starts a test for each URL, waits for the report, and reads the performance grade, scores, and load timings. Access is read-only, and clariBI never changes anything in your GTmetrix account.

Connect GTmetrix in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source, find GTmetrix, and paste your GTmetrix API key (Account settings). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

2

Choose the URLs to test

Type the page URLs to measure. On each sync clariBI starts a test and waits for the report. Access is read-only.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the scores and timings, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "Did our slowest pages cost us conversions?" and the AI engine queries it alongside your analytics.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the GTmetrix connector:

  • Performance and structure scores per page
  • Largest Contentful Paint and other load timings
  • Total blocking time and cumulative layout shift
  • Fully loaded time and total page weight
  • Performance changes over repeated tests
  • Cross-source: page performance → bounce rate → conversions

GTmetrix is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

For each URL, clariBI starts a GTmetrix test, waits for the report, and lands the scores and timings as a preprocessed dataset, refreshed on your schedule. Access is read-only.

Each sync records the performance grade, performance and structure scores, and key load timings for the URL, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports. Repeated syncs build the trend.

clariBI only ever reads the report. It never changes anything in GTmetrix.

Cross-source questions GTmetrix makes possible

GTmetrix data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

GTmetrix × Conversions

"Are our slowest pages the ones that lose conversions?"

Planner: read per-page load timings from GTmetrix, join to conversion rate by page, and rank pages by the speed-to-conversion gap.

GTmetrix × Bounce rate

"Did the performance regression raise our bounce rate?"

Planner: read the performance score trend from GTmetrix, align to bounce rate by date, and flag the regressions that moved it.

GTmetrix connector FAQ

What do I need to connect GTmetrix?

A GTmetrix API key from your account settings. You paste it into clariBI once; it is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

Why does a sync take a little longer for GTmetrix?

GTmetrix runs a real page test, so clariBI starts the test and waits for the report to finish before reading the scores. This is normal and only affects GTmetrix syncs.

Which clariBI plan includes the GTmetrix connector?

Data-source connectors are available on the Trial, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans. You can connect it during the free 14-day trial.
