About Fixer
Fixer is a foreign-exchange-rates API that publishes daily reference rates for more than 170 currencies, relative to a base currency.
clariBI reads Fixer through its REST API using your own access key: the daily rate for each currency you choose, against the euro base. Access is read-only, and clariBI never changes anything in your account.
For each day in your chosen window, clariBI requests that day from the historical endpoint and records the rate, building a daily time series per currency.

What clariBI syncs
clariBI pulls daily exchange-rate history for the currencies you select through the Fixer REST API, lands it as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes it once it is more than a day old. Access is read-only.
For each selected currency, clariBI syncs the daily rate against the euro base, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports.
clariBI only ever reads. It never changes anything in your Fixer account.

How to connect Fixer
Open Data Sources in clariBI
In clariBI, go to Data Sources > Add Data Source, find Fixer, and paste your access key (free from fixer.io). The access key is stored encrypted.
Choose currencies and history
Type the target currencies to track (for example USD, GBP, JPY) and choose how many days of history to pull. clariBI reads rates read-only.
Sync, then get dashboards
clariBI syncs the daily rates, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "How did the dollar move against the euro this quarter?" and clariBI reads the synced rates alongside your revenue and costs.
Questions you can ask
Asking in plain English uses AI credits, so it needs the trial or a Starter, Professional or Enterprise plan. Totals and trends are computed from the synced rows; the AI plans the question, picks the chart and writes the explanation.

About the Fixer connector
What do I need to connect Fixer?
A free access key from fixer.io. You paste it into clariBI once; it is stored encrypted, and there is no OAuth popup or app to register.
Can clariBI change anything in my account?
No. The connector only reads daily exchange-rate history for the currencies you select. It never changes anything in your account.
Which base currency does clariBI use?
The euro. The Fixer free plan publishes rates relative to the euro, so each synced rate is the value of one euro in the currency you chose.
Which clariBI plans include Fixer?
Every plan can connect Fixer, within its data source limit: 3 on Free, 5 on Lite, 10 on Starter, 50 on Professional and 100 on Enterprise. Each source gets an automatic dashboard on every plan. Asking questions in plain English, AI reports and adding endpoints from the Fixer catalog need the trial or a Starter, Professional or Enterprise plan.

The trial lasts 14 days, includes 50 AI credits and needs no card. When it ends, your account moves to the Free plan and keeps its data and dashboards.
