Native CoinMarketCap data-source connector.

What is CoinMarketCap?

CoinMarketCap is a cryptocurrency market-data provider offering free and paid REST APIs for crypto prices, OHLCV history, market cap, and volume across thousands of coins.

clariBI reads CoinMarketCap through its REST API using your own API key: daily open, high, low, close, volume, and market cap for the coin symbols you choose, quoted in USD. Access is read-only, and clariBI never places a trade or changes anything in your account.

Connect CoinMarketCap in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source, find CoinMarketCap, and paste your CoinMarketCap API key (free from coinmarketcap.com). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

2

Type the coins and history

Type the coin symbols to track (for example BTC, ETH, SOL), then choose how many days of history to pull. clariBI reads prices read-only.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the daily prices, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "How did our crypto holdings move this quarter?" and the AI engine queries the synced prices alongside your revenue.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the CoinMarketCap connector:

  • Daily open, high, low, close, volume, and market cap per coin
  • Price trend and volatility over your chosen window
  • Candlestick view with a close-price trend line
  • Relative performance across the coins you track
  • Market-cap shifts around market or product events
  • Cross-source: crypto price moves → treasury value → revenue

CoinMarketCap is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

clariBI pulls daily price history for the coins you type through the CoinMarketCap REST API, lands it as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes it on your schedule. Access is read-only.

For each coin symbol, clariBI syncs daily open, high, low, close, volume, and market cap in USD, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports.

clariBI only ever reads. It never places a trade or changes anything in your CoinMarketCap account.

Cross-source questions CoinMarketCap makes possible

CoinMarketCap data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

CoinMarketCap × Treasury

"How did our crypto treasury value track the market this quarter?"

Planner: read daily closes from CoinMarketCap, multiply by your held balances, and report the treasury value over the same window.

CoinMarketCap × Revenue

"Do our crypto-paid sales rise and fall with the coin price?"

Planner: read daily closes from CoinMarketCap, align to your daily revenue, and report the correlation over the same window.
