Arcjet + clariBI

Connect Arcjet through clariBI's MCP catalog. Read-only OAuth, and per-request allow and deny decisions turned into traffic, abuse, and quota dashboards.

Native Arcjet connector via the MCP catalog.

Connect with OAuth, keep the access read-only, and ask questions across Arcjet and your other tools in plain English. The setup is the same one-click flow as Google Analytics, Stripe, Meta Ads, or Jira.

What is Arcjet?

Arcjet is an application-security platform that runs inside your server code. Each request passes through rules for rate limiting, bot detection, and threat signals, and Arcjet returns an allow or deny decision while recording the reason.

clariBI reaches your Arcjet account through its hosted MCP server: request decisions and their reasons, rate-limit denials, bot detections, the top paths and IPs by activity, and quota usage. Reads inherit the connected user's site access, and clariBI never edits a rule.

Connect Arcjet in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data SourceMCP Servers tab. Find Arcjet in the catalog and click Connect.

2

Authorize with Arcjet (OAuth)

An Arcjet sign-in opens in your browser. Approve the read access. clariBI uses Dynamic Client Registration, so there is no Arcjet app to set up, and credentials are Fernet-encrypted at rest.

3

Ask questions, get dashboards

clariBI surfaces denial rates, bot detections, and the paths under attack. Ask "Which IPs trigger the most rate-limit denials?" and the AI engine queries Arcjet alongside your traffic and signup data.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the Arcjet MCP connector:

  • Allow versus deny decisions over time, by reason
  • Rate-limit denials by path and by client IP
  • Bot detections and the verdict mix behind them
  • Top paths and IPs by request volume and abuse
  • Quota usage against the plan limit
  • Cross-source: denial spikes → signup or checkout dips in your analytics

What the AI engine can call

clariBI discovers Arcjet's tool surface at connection time and exposes the read-only tools to the planner. Write or configuration tools are filtered out by the catalog's read-only heuristic, so the connector stays analytical.

When you connect, clariBI lists the tools your Arcjet MCP server advertises and keeps the read-only ones: reading request decisions, denial counts, bot detections, top paths and IPs, and quota usage.

Anything that would change Arcjet is excluded at the catalog layer and never reachable through clariBI.

Cross-source questions Arcjet makes possible

Arcjet data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

Arcjet × GA4

"Did the rate-limit spike on the signup route hurt completed signups?"

Planner: read denial counts for the signup path from Arcjet, then compare GA4 signup conversions over the same window to see whether real users got caught.

Arcjet × Stripe

"Did bot traffic on checkout correlate with failed payments?"

Planner: read bot detections on the checkout path from Arcjet and line them up with failed Stripe charge attempts over the same period.

Arcjet connector FAQ

Do I need to register an app with Arcjet?

No. clariBI uses Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so Arcjet issues the connection credentials at connect time. You do not manage any keys in clariBI.

Can clariBI change my Arcjet rules or quotas?

No. The catalog exposes read tools only, and the read-only heuristic filters out anything that writes. clariBI reads decisions, denials, detections, and quota usage; it never edits a rule or limit.

Which clariBI plan includes the Arcjet connector?

MCP integrations are available on the Trial, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans. You can connect Arcjet during the free 14-day trial.
