Connect Visual Crossing to clariBI with your API key to sync daily weather history (temperature, precipitation, humidity) for the locations you choose, read-only, with auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.
## Connect Visual Crossing to clariBI The Visual Crossing connector syncs daily weather history for the locations you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. It reads through the Visual Crossing Timeline API, which returns a whole date range of daily weather in one call. ### What you need - A free Visual Crossing API key from [visualcrossing.com](https://www.visualcrossing.com/weather-api/). ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find Visual Crossing. 2. Paste your Visual Crossing API key. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Type the locations to track as a place name (for example London,UK) or as "lat, lon", then choose how much history to pull. 4. clariBI syncs the daily weather, preprocesses it, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each location: daily maximum, minimum, and average temperature, precipitation, and humidity. The connector reads only and never changes your account. ### Notes The free tier allows 1000 weather records per day, shared across historical, current, and forecast data. Each day of daily history for a location counts as one record, so pick the locations and history window you most need.
