Salesloft MCP Integration

3 min read Updated May 25, 2026
Salesloft, the sales engagement product inside Clari. Accounts, people, opportunities, conversations, and team data via the official hosted MCP server.

Salesloft is the sales-engagement product inside the Clari revenue platform (the two companies merged in April 2026). Mid-market and enterprise sales teams run sequenced outbound, rep coaching, and conversation intelligence on it. Connecting it to clariBI surfaces every account, person, opportunity, conversation, and team metric inside your AI analyses. If your team calls it "Clari" rather than "Salesloft", this is the right connector.

Why connect Salesloft

Sales-rep performance questions ("which reps had the highest reply rate on outbound this week?") usually live behind Salesloft's reporting tab. Connect once, ask in clariBI.

With the connection live, you can ask "Compare account engagement scores by tier", "List opportunities created from outbound sequences last quarter", or "Show me the top-performing cadence by reply rate", and the AI engine pulls the answer.

Scope note: this connector covers Salesloft execution data (cadences, calls, accounts, people, opportunities, conversations). Clari-side forecasting data (forecast submissions, quotas, adjustments) is not yet on the official MCP server, so questions like "What is our committed forecast for this quarter?" still need the Clari Export API or a CSV upload. We plan to add forecasting tools once Clari ships them.

How the connection works

clariBI talks to Salesloft through its hosted MCP server at https://mcp.salesloft.com/mcp. Authentication uses an OAuth flow that clariBI registers itself for (no developer console setup on your side). Tokens stay encrypted server-side and never leave clariBI in clear form.

Available tools

clariBI exposes the read-only Salesloft tools that the vendor's MCP server publishes at connection time. Write operations (create, update, delete, send, refund) are filtered out by a name-pattern blocklist before any tool reaches the analysis engine, so connecting Salesloft cannot modify data on the vendor side.

The exact tool inventory depends on the Salesloft features your account has access to. After connecting, try a few natural-language questions to see what Salesloft data clariBI can pull.

Data flow during analysis

When you ask a question that maps to Salesloft, the AI engine routes to the right tool, reads the result, and pairs the answer with a chart you can pin to a dashboard.

Setting up the connection

  1. Open Data Sources in the clariBI sidebar.
  2. Click Add data source.
  3. Open the MCP Servers tab.
  4. Click the Salesloft card.
  5. Click Authorize with Salesloft.
  6. Sign in to Salesloft in the popup window and grant the requested read scopes.
  7. Back in clariBI, give your data source a name.
  8. Click Finish.

Permissions and data access

OAuth scoping is granted at authorize time on the Salesloft consent screen. clariBI requests only *:read scopes (accounts, people, opportunities, conversations, team), so no mutating operations are possible. Access also requires the Salesloft Agentic add-on on your Salesloft (Clari) plan. Disconnect from Salesloft settings or from clariBI Settings.

Troubleshooting

ErrorCauseFix
"Authorization expired"Salesloft OAuth tokens rotate and the refresh failed silently.Reconnect Salesloft from Settings then Integrations.
"This account does not have access to the MCP server"The Salesloft Agentic add-on is not enabled on your Salesloft (Clari) workspace.Ask your Salesloft admin to enable the Agentic add-on, then retry the connect flow.
