Pipedrive MCP Integration

2 min read Updated May 21, 2026
Deals, leads, contacts, organizations, activities, products, projects, and pipeline metrics from Pipedrive via the official hosted MCP server.

Pipedrive is the SMB and mid-market sales CRM many B2B teams build their pipeline on. Connecting Pipedrive to clariBI surfaces every deal, lead, activity, and pipeline metric into your AI analyses.

Why connect Pipedrive

Pipeline questions ("how did our weighted pipeline shift this week?") usually require opening Pipedrive's Insights tab.

With Pipedrive connected, you can ask "Compare deal value won this month vs last month by source", "Which reps have the highest stage conversion rate?", or "Show me deals stalled in Negotiation longer than 21 days" and the AI engine pulls the answer.

How the connection works

clariBI talks to Pipedrive through its hosted MCP server at https://mcp.pipedrive.com/mcp. Authentication uses an OAuth flow that clariBI registers itself for (no developer console setup on your side). Tokens stay encrypted server-side and never leave clariBI in clear form.

Available tools

clariBI exposes the read-only Pipedrive tools that the vendor's MCP server publishes at connection time. Write operations (create, update, delete, send, refund) are filtered out by a name-pattern blocklist before any tool reaches the analysis engine, so connecting Pipedrive cannot modify data on the vendor side.

The exact tool inventory depends on the Pipedrive features your account has access to. After connecting, try a few natural-language questions to see what Pipedrive data clariBI can pull.

Data flow during analysis

When you ask a question that maps to Pipedrive, the AI engine routes to the right tool, reads the result, and pairs the answer with a chart you can pin to a dashboard.

Setting up the connection

  1. Open Data Sources in the clariBI sidebar.
  2. Click Add data source.
  3. Open the MCP Servers tab.
  4. Click the Pipedrive card.
  5. Click Authorize with Pipedrive.
  6. Sign in to Pipedrive in the popup window and grant the requested read scopes.
  7. Back in clariBI, give your data source a name.
  8. Click Finish.

Permissions and data access

OAuth scoping is granted at authorize time on the Pipedrive consent screen. clariBI restricts itself to read-only tools at the resolver layer even when the OAuth scopes grant write access. Disconnect from Pipedrive settings or from clariBI Settings.

Troubleshooting

ErrorCauseFix
"Insufficient scope"The Pipedrive account did not grant the read scopes clariBI requested.Reconnect Pipedrive and accept the listed scopes on the consent screen.
