Connect PageSpeed Insights to clariBI with no API key to audit the pages you choose, read-only, and capture the mobile performance score and Core Web Vitals into auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.
What is PageSpeed Insights?
PageSpeed Insights is Google's free page-performance tool. It runs a Lighthouse audit on a URL and returns a performance score plus Core Web Vitals like Largest Contentful Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift.
clariBI reads PageSpeed Insights through its public REST API: for each page URL you enter, it captures the mobile performance score and the key lab metrics. Access is read-only, no API key is required, and clariBI never changes anything on your site.
How to connect PageSpeed Insights
- Open Data Sources in clariBI. In clariBI, go to Data Sources → Add Data Source and find PageSpeed Insights. There is no API key to paste, so you go straight to entering URLs.
- Enter the pages to measure. Type the page URLs to audit (for example your homepage and top landing pages). clariBI runs a mobile PageSpeed audit on each and reads the results read-only.
- Sync, then get dashboards. clariBI captures the performance score and Core Web Vitals, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "Which landing page is slowest on mobile?" and the AI engine queries the synced metrics alongside your traffic.
What you can analyze
- Mobile performance score per page
- Largest Contentful Paint and First Contentful Paint per page
- Cumulative Layout Shift and Total Blocking Time per page
- Speed Index and Time to Interactive per page
- Comparison across the pages you measure
- Cross-source: page speed → bounce rate → conversions
What gets synced
clariBI runs a PageSpeed Insights audit on each page URL you enter through the public REST API, lands the results as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes them on your schedule. Access is read-only.
For each page, clariBI captures the mobile performance score and the key Core Web Vitals, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports. Each sync records the current measurement, so repeated syncs build up a history over time.
clariBI only ever reads. It runs an external audit and never changes anything on your site or in any account.
Questions across your other data
Once your records are synced, the AI engine can join them to the rest of your business data. A few examples:
| Pairing | Question | How clariBI answers |
|---|---|---|
| PageSpeed × Conversions | "Is a slow landing page costing us conversions?" | Planner: read the performance score and Largest Contentful Paint from PageSpeed Insights, join to conversion rate by page, and flag the slow pages that convert worst. |
| PageSpeed × Traffic | "Did our speed fixes lift the pages that get the most traffic?" | Planner: read the performance score per page from PageSpeed Insights, align to sessions by page, and rank fixes by traffic weighted impact. |
