## Connect Open Exchange Rates to clariBI The Open Exchange Rates connector syncs daily exchange-rate history for the currencies you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. ### What you need - A free App ID from [openexchangerates.org](https://openexchangerates.org/signup). ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find Open Exchange Rates. 2. Paste your App ID. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Type the target currencies (for example EUR, GBP) and choose how many days of history to pull. 4. clariBI syncs the daily rates, preprocesses them, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each currency: the daily rate against the US dollar base. clariBI requests one day at a time across your chosen window to build the time series. The connector reads only and never changes anything. ### Notes The free plan publishes rates relative to the US dollar and is rate-limited per month. A longer history means more daily requests, so pick the currencies you most need and a window that fits your plan.
