monday.com MCP Integration

2 min read Updated May 19, 2026
Boards, items, columns, and users from monday.com, for workflow-state reporting across marketing, ops, and creative teams.

monday.com runs workflows across marketing, operations, and creative teams. Connecting monday to clariBI surfaces board structure and item state for AI-driven reporting.

Why connect monday.com

monday boards work great for execution. Cross-board reporting and long-term trend analysis are harder.

With monday connected, you can ask "Which projects shipped last quarter?", "Which campaigns are blocked?", or "How is utilization tracking across teams?" without leaving clariBI.

How the connection works

clariBI talks to monday.com through its hosted MCP server at https://mcp.monday.com/sse. Authentication uses an OAuth flow that clariBI registers itself for (no developer console setup on your side). Tokens stay encrypted server-side and never leave clariBI in clear form.

    V-->>C: Access + refresh tokens

Available tools

clariBI exposes the read-only monday.com tools that the vendor's MCP server publishes at connection time. Write operations (create, update, delete, send, refund) are filtered out by a name-pattern blocklist before any tool reaches the analysis engine, so connecting monday.com cannot modify data on the vendor side.

The exact tool inventory depends on the monday.com features your account has access to. After connecting, try a few natural-language questions to see what monday.com data clariBI can pull.

Data flow during analysis

When you ask a question that maps to monday.com, the AI engine routes to the right tool, reads the result, and pairs the answer with a chart you can pin to a dashboard.

Setting up the connection

  1. Open Data Sources in the clariBI sidebar.
  2. Click Add data source.
  3. Open the MCP Servers tab.
  4. Click the monday.com card.
  5. Click Authorize with monday.com.
  6. Sign in to monday.com in the popup window and grant the requested read scopes.
  7. Back in clariBI, give your data source a name.
  8. Click Finish.

Permissions and data access

clariBI requests read access to your boards, items, columns, and users. No boards or items can be created or modified. Disconnect from monday account settings or from clariBI Settings.
