Connect Metals-API to clariBI with your access key to sync daily metal prices (gold, silver, platinum, base metals) for the symbols you choose, read-only, with auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.

## Connect Metals-API to clariBI The Metals-API connector syncs the daily price history of the metals you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. ### What you need - A Metals-API access key from your [Metals-API account](https://metals-api.com). - The metal symbols you want (for example XAU for gold, XAG for silver). You can browse symbols at the Metals-API `/symbols` endpoint. ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find Metals-API. 2. Paste your access key. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Enter the metal symbols to track, set the base currency, and choose how much history to pull. 4. clariBI syncs the prices, preprocesses them, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each metal: the daily rate against your base currency. The connector reads only and never changes anything.
