Mailchimp runs email marketing for many e-commerce, content, and SaaS businesses. While Mailchimp does not yet publish an official hosted MCP server for marketing data, the Apify actor marketplace fills the gap with a community-maintained 56-tool Mailchimp surface.
Why connect Mailchimp (via Apify)
Mailchimp campaign metrics often live behind manual exports; the Apify-backed MCP brings open-rate, click-through, and audience growth trends into live AI analyses.
You can ask "What was open-rate by audience segment last quarter?", "Which automations have the lowest unsubscribe rate?", or "How is the welcome series performing?" and the AI engine routes through the Mailchimp-actor tools on Apify.
How the connection works
clariBI talks to Mailchimp (via Apify) through its hosted MCP server at https://mcp.apify.com?tools=engaging_image/mailchimp-mcp-server. Authentication uses an OAuth flow that clariBI registers itself for (no developer console setup on your side). Tokens stay encrypted server-side and never leave clariBI in clear form.

Available tools
clariBI exposes the read-only Mailchimp (via Apify) tools that the vendor's MCP server publishes at connection time. Write operations (create, update, delete, send, refund) are filtered out by a name-pattern blocklist before any tool reaches the analysis engine, so connecting Mailchimp (via Apify) cannot modify data on the vendor side.
The exact tool inventory depends on the Mailchimp (via Apify) features your account has access to. After connecting, try a few natural-language questions to see what Mailchimp (via Apify) data clariBI can pull.
Data flow during analysis
When you ask a question that maps to Mailchimp (via Apify), the AI engine routes to the right tool, reads the result, and pairs the answer with a chart you can pin to a dashboard.

Permissions and data access
clariBI connects to Apify with read-only OAuth access; the Apify actor itself uses your Mailchimp API key (you provide it when prompted by the actor). Disconnect from Apify or revoke the Mailchimp key in either dashboard.
Troubleshooting
| Error | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| "Actor not found" | The Apify community actor moved or was removed from the marketplace. | Search the Apify Actor marketplace for an alternative Mailchimp actor and update the catalog row's endpoint_url. |
| "Mailchimp API quota exceeded" | Mailchimp enforces tight per-account quotas; complex analyses may hit them. | Narrow the analysis time window or upgrade your Mailchimp plan. |
