How to Export CSV Data from Monday.com and Import It into clariBI

Monday.com is a flexible work management platform that organizes tasks into boards with customizable columns. You can export board data and import it into clariBI for AI-powered analysis of project progress, team workload, and workflow efficiency.

What You Can Export from Monday.com

  • Board items (tasks/rows) with all column values
  • Status columns showing task progress
  • People columns with assignee information
  • Date and timeline column values
  • Number, text, and dropdown column data
  • Group names and item organization
  • Subitems (if enabled on the board)
  • Tags and labels attached to items

Export CSV Data from Monday.com

Method 1: Export a Board

  1. Log in to your Monday.com account at monday.com
  2. Open the board you want to export
  3. Click the three-dot menu (...) in the top right corner of the board
  4. Select More actions from the dropdown
  5. Click Export board to Excel
  6. The board data will download as an .xlsx (Excel) file — you can upload this directly to clariBI

Method 2: Export a Filtered View

  1. Open your board and apply filters using the Filter button at the top
  2. Set your filter criteria (e.g., status equals "Done", assigned to a specific person, date range)
  3. With the filters active, click the three-dot menu > More actions > Export board to Excel
  4. The export will include only the items matching your active filters
  5. Upload the downloaded .xlsx file directly to clariBI

Method 3: Export from Table Views

  1. Open the board and switch to a Table view (only table views support export — Chart views and other visualization views cannot be exported)
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the view
  3. Select Export or Export to Excel
  4. The export will reflect the data as configured in that view
  5. Upload the .xlsx file directly to clariBI

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Make sure all relevant columns are visible on the board before exporting, as hidden columns may be excluded from the export
  • Use consistent status labels across boards to enable cross-project analysis in clariBI
  • Monday.com exports in .xlsx format by default — clariBI accepts Excel files directly, so no conversion is needed
  • Monday.com has a limit of 10,000 items per export. If your board exceeds this, use filters to export in batches
