How to Export CSV Data from LinkedIn Analytics and Import It into clariBI
LinkedIn provides analytics for company pages including visitor demographics, post performance, and follower trends. Exporting this data into clariBI lets you track growth patterns and optimize your LinkedIn content strategy.
What You Can Export from LinkedIn Analytics
- Visitor demographics (job function, location, seniority, industry, company size)
- Content (post) performance metrics (impressions, clicks, reactions, comments, shares, engagement rate)
- Follower statistics and growth over time
- Follower demographics (job function, location, seniority, industry, company size)
- Page views and unique visitors by time period
- Custom button clicks (if configured on your page)
- Content format performance breakdown (images, videos, documents, text posts)
Export CSV Data from LinkedIn Analytics
- Go to linkedin.com and log in with an account that has admin access to your company page
- Navigate to your company page by clicking Me (your profile icon) > select your company page, or search for it directly
- Click Analytics in the left sidebar of your page admin view
- Select the analytics section you want to export: Visitors, Content, Followers, or Leads
- Set your desired date range using the date picker at the top of the analytics section
- Click the Export button (located near the top right of the data table area) — each analytics tab has its own Export button
- LinkedIn will download a CSV file (e.g., `company-page_visitors_2025-01-01_2025-02-01.xls`) — despite the .xls extension, this file can be opened and saved as CSV
- To export additional data types, navigate to the other analytics tabs (Visitors, Content, Followers) and repeat steps 5-7 for each
Tips for Clean Exports
- Export each analytics section separately — LinkedIn generates a different file for each tab (Visitors, Content, Followers)
- The exported file may use .xls format — clariBI accepts Excel files directly, so no conversion is needed
- For the most granular data, select shorter date ranges (monthly exports) and combine them later
