How to Export CSV Data from Squarespace Commerce and Import It into clariBI

Export orders, products, and analytics data from Squarespace Commerce as CSV files and import them into clariBI for AI-powered e-commerce insights.

Squarespace Commerce provides built-in tools to export your store data including orders, products, and analytics. Importing this data into clariBI allows you to analyze your online store performance with AI-driven insights.

What You Can Export from Squarespace Commerce

  • Order records with line items, totals, shipping, and customer details
  • Product catalog with names, prices, variants, and inventory levels
  • Customer information from orders
  • Analytics data including traffic, sales, and conversion rates
  • Donation and digital product sales records
  • Discount and coupon usage data

Export CSV Data from Squarespace Commerce

Method 1: Export Orders

  1. Log in to your Squarespace account and open your website
  2. Open the Products & Services panel and click Orders
  3. Use filters to narrow by date range, order status (pending, fulfilled, refunded), or other criteria
  4. Click the Export data button at the top of the orders list
  5. Select CSV as the export format
  6. Choose the date range for the export
  7. Click Export data and download the CSV file

Method 2: Export Products

  1. Go to Products & Services > Products in the left sidebar
  2. Click the Export all button to download your product catalog
  3. The CSV file will include product names, descriptions, prices, variants, categories, and stock levels
  4. Download the file and save it to your computer

Note: Only physical and service products can be exported (digital products are not included in product exports). There is also a limit of 10,000 products/variants per export.

Method 3: Export Analytics Data

  1. Navigate to Analytics in the left sidebar
  2. Select the report type: Sales, Traffic, Activity Log, or Purchase Funnel
  3. Set the date range using the date picker at the top
  4. Click the Export button (download icon) in the top right of the report
  5. The report data will download as a CSV file

Method 4: Export Customer Data from Orders

  1. Export your orders using Method 1 above
  2. The order CSV includes customer name, email, and shipping address fields
  3. For a dedicated customer list, filter the order export to extract unique customer records
  4. Alternatively, use Squarespace's email marketing or customer panel (if available on your plan) to export subscriber lists

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Export orders and products separately to create distinct data sources in clariBI for different types of analysis
  • Use the Analytics export for pre-aggregated metrics like conversion rates and traffic sources
  • Include the date range in your file name when saving exports to stay organized over time

Import Your Data into clariBI

  1. Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
  2. Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
  3. Click the + Add Source button (top right)
  4. Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
  5. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Squarespace - Sales Analytics Q1 2025")
  6. Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
  7. Click Create Data Source

Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "What is my purchase funnel conversion rate from visits to completed orders?"
- "Which products contribute the most to total revenue?"
- "Show me the weekly sales trend and identify any seasonal patterns."

clariBI's AI will automatically analyze your data and suggest relevant insights.
