Sage Business Cloud (also known as Sage Accounting) is a widely used accounting platform for small and growing businesses. Exporting your Sage data to clariBI enables you to leverage AI for faster financial analysis, trend detection, and data-driven decision making.

Export CSV Data from Sage Business Cloud
Method 1: Export Reports
- Log in to your Sage Business Cloud account at id.sage.com
- Click Reporting (or Reports depending on your Sage version) in the left-hand navigation menu
- Select the report you want to export (e.g., "Profit and Loss" or "Balance Sheet")
- Set your date range and any other relevant filters at the top of the report
- Click Run Report or Update to generate the report
- Look for the Export button near the top-right area of the report
- Select CSV from the available export format options
- The file will download automatically to your computer
Method 2: Export Contacts
- From the main navigation, click Contacts
- Select either Customers or Suppliers from the submenu
- Review the list and apply any filters you need
- Click the Export button at the top of the list
- Choose CSV from the export options
- The contact data will download as a CSV file
Method 3: Export Transactions
- Navigate to Banking in the left sidebar
- Select the bank account you want to export transactions from
- Set the date range for the transactions you need
- Click the Export or Download option
- Select CSV as the format
- Your transaction data will download
Tips for Clean Exports
- Sage reports often include summary rows — look for a "Detailed" view option before exporting to get individual line items
- When exporting contacts, Sage includes both active and inactive records by default. Use the status filter to export only active contacts if preferred
- If you manage multiple businesses in Sage, make sure you have the correct business selected before exporting
Import Your Data into clariBI
- Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
- Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
- Click the + Add Source button (top right)
- Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Sage - Aged Debtors Report Feb 2025")
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
- Click Create Data Source
Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "Show me my profit margin trend over the last 6 months"
- "Which suppliers do I spend the most with?"
- "What percentage of my invoices are overdue?"
clariBI's AI will automatically analyze your data and suggest relevant insights.
