3 min read Updated February 11, 2026
Export your Pinterest advertising campaign data as CSV and import it into clariBI to analyze Pin performance, audience targeting, and conversion metrics.

Pinterest Ads allows businesses to promote Pins to reach users actively searching for ideas and products. Exporting your Pinterest ad data into clariBI enables you to analyze campaign effectiveness, creative performance, and shopping ad ROI.

What You Can Export from Pinterest Ads

  • Campaign, ad group, and promoted Pin performance metrics
  • Impressions, clicks (Pin clicks and outbound clicks), CTR, and spend
  • Engagement metrics (saves, close-ups, Pin click rate)
  • Conversion data (checkouts, add to carts, sign-ups, custom conversions)
  • CPC, CPM, and cost per conversion metrics
  • Audience targeting performance (interests, keywords, demographics)
  • Device and placement breakdown
  • Shopping ad and catalog performance data

Export CSV Data from Pinterest Ads

Method 1: Export from Ads Manager

  1. Log in to Pinterest Ads Manager at ads.pinterest.com
  2. Select the correct ad account from the account selector (top left)
  3. Navigate to the Campaigns, Ad groups, or Ads view from the main reporting table
  4. Set your desired date range using the date picker at the top
  5. Customize columns by clicking Columns to add or remove metrics (e.g., engagement, conversions, video views)
  6. Apply any filters by status, objective, or campaign name
  7. Click the Export button (download icon in the toolbar area)
  8. Select CSV or .csv as the format
  9. The file will download with all visible performance data

Method 2: Export from Reporting

  1. Click Reporting in the top navigation of Pinterest Ads Manager
  2. Select an existing saved report or create a new one
  3. Choose your breakdown dimensions (date, campaign, ad group, placement, device)
  4. Select the metrics you want included
  5. Set the date range
  6. Click Export to download the report as CSV
  7. Reporting provides more granular breakdowns than the standard Ads Manager view

Method 3: Export Organic Analytics Data

  1. Navigate to Analytics > Overview from your Pinterest business account at analytics.pinterest.com — this is separate from the Ads Manager
  2. Review your organic and paid Pin performance metrics
  3. Click the Export button to download analytics data
  4. This includes both organic and promoted Pin data — you can filter by content type (paid vs organic) using the Content type tab for focused analysis

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Pinterest has unique engagement metrics (saves, close-ups) that differ from other ad platforms — include them in your export for a full picture of content performance
  • Separate organic analytics from paid campaign data when importing to clariBI for cleaner analysis
  • Shopping campaign exports include product-level performance data which is valuable for e-commerce analysis
