How to Export CSV Data from Klaviyo and Import It into clariBI

Klaviyo is a powerful email and SMS marketing platform built for e-commerce. Exporting your profile, campaign, and flow data as CSV files lets you perform deep cross-channel analysis in clariBI.

Export CSV Data from Klaviyo

Method 1: Export Profiles

  1. Log in to your Klaviyo account at klaviyo.com
  2. Navigate to Audience > Lists & Segments in the left sidebar
  3. Click on the list or segment you want to export
  4. Click the Manage List/Segment dropdown button (or the three-dot menu)
  5. Select Export list to CSV or Export segment to CSV
  6. Choose the profile properties (columns) you want to include
  7. Click Start Export and wait for the file to be generated
  8. Download the CSV from the notification banner or check your email for the download link

Method 2: Export Campaign Analytics

  1. Go to Campaigns in the left sidebar
  2. From the campaigns list, click the Options dropdown (upper right) and select Export Analytics
  3. Select CSV as the export format
  4. Choose the metrics you want to include (e.g., delivered, opened, clicked, revenue, conversion rate)
  5. Download the exported CSV file

Method 3: Export Flow Performance Data

  1. Navigate to Flows in the left sidebar
  2. Select the flow you want to analyze
  3. Click on the Analytics tab for the flow
  4. Click the Export button to download performance data
  5. The CSV will include metrics for each email in the flow such as sends, opens, clicks, and revenue

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Export segments separately to compare performance across different customer cohorts in clariBI
  • Include revenue attribution data when exporting campaign metrics to connect email performance to sales
  • Use Klaviyo's date range filters before exporting to keep file sizes manageable

Import Your Data into clariBI

  1. Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
  2. Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
  3. Click the + Add Source button (top right)
  4. Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
  5. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Klaviyo - Campaign Revenue Report Q1")
  6. Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
  7. Click Create Data Source

Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "Which campaign generated the most attributed revenue this quarter?"
- "What is the average click rate for my welcome flow emails?"
- "Show me a comparison of open rates between my VIP segment and new subscribers."
