Insightly is a CRM and project management platform designed for small and midsize businesses. Exporting your Insightly data into clariBI lets you use AI to analyze your sales pipeline, track project delivery, understand customer relationships, and get insights from your business data.

Export CSV Data from Insightly
Method 1: Export Records from Any Module
- Log in to your Insightly account at crm.na1.insightly.com (or your regional URL)
- Navigate to the module you want to export by clicking on Contacts, Organizations, Opportunities, Projects, or Leads in the left sidebar
- Apply any filters or select a saved view to narrow down the records
- Click the Show Sidebar button (located to the left of the New Record button) to open the right sidebar
- In the sidebar, find the Import/Export section and click the Export link
- Select which fields you want to include, or accept the default selection
- Click Export
- Insightly will email you a download link when the export is ready — you can also check Your Recent Exports in the sidebar
Alternatively, you can select specific records using the checkboxes, click More, and choose Export to export only the selected records.
Method 2: Export Reports
- Click Reports in the left sidebar
- Select an existing report or create a new one by clicking New Report
- If creating a new report, choose the record type, configure fields, filters, and grouping, then click Save and Run
- Once the report is displayed, click the Export button in the top-right area
- Select CSV from the export format options
- The report data will download as a CSV file
Method 3: Export from Dashboards
- Navigate to Dashboards in the left sidebar
- Open the dashboard containing the data you want
- On individual dashboard cards or widgets, look for a menu icon (three dots or gear icon)
- Select Export or Download data if available — not all widget types support direct CSV export
- Choose CSV format
- The underlying data for that widget will download. If the option is not available, use the Reports export method instead
Tips for Clean Exports
- Insightly allows you to export custom fields along with standard fields — include relevant custom fields for the most complete analysis in clariBI
- When exporting opportunities, be sure to include "Pipeline", "Stage", "Bid Amount", "Forecast Close Date", and "Responsible User" fields
- Insightly links contacts to organizations and opportunities — export each module separately and use the organization name or contact name as a common key for cross-referencing in clariBI
Import Your Data into clariBI
- Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
- Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
- Click the + Add Source button (top right)
- Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Insightly - Opportunities Export 2025")
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
- Click Create Data Source
Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "What is my opportunity win rate by pipeline stage?"
- "Show me the number of active projects by status"
- "Which organizations have the highest total deal value?"
clariBI's AI will automatically analyze your data and suggest relevant insights.
