What You Can Export from Hootsuite

Export CSV Data from Hootsuite
Method 1: Export from Analytics Reports
- Log in to your Hootsuite account at hootsuite.com
- Click Analytics in the left sidebar navigation
- Select the report you want to export — choose from templates like Post Performance, Overview, Profile Performance, or create a custom report
- Set your desired date range and social profiles using the filters at the top
- Click the Export button (download icon, usually at the top right of the report)
- Select CSV from the export format options (CSV/PDF available)
- The report data will download as a CSV file
Method 2: Export Post Performance Data
- Navigate to Analytics > Posts in the left sidebar
- Select the social profiles and date range you want to analyze
- Review the post-level data table showing each published post with metrics
- Click Export (top right) > CSV
- The file includes individual post text, publish time, and all engagement metrics
Method 3: Export Custom Reports
- Go to Analytics > My Reports or create a new custom report
- Add the metrics and widgets you need
- After the report loads, click the Export button
- Choose CSV for data-friendly output
Tips for Clean Exports
- Custom reports give you the most control over which metrics are included in your CSV export
- The Post Performance export is the most useful for content analysis in clariBI since it includes per-post granular data
- When exporting from multi-profile reports, the CSV will include a column indicating which social profile each row belongs to
Import Your Data into clariBI
- Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
- Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
- Click the + Add Source button (top right)
- Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Hootsuite - Social Media Performance Jan 2025")
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
- Click Create Data Source
