Export CSV Data from Google Ads
Method 1: Export from Campaign Views
- Log in to your Google Ads account at ads.google.com
- Navigate to the data view you want to export — Campaigns, Ad groups, Ads & assets, Keywords, or Audiences
- Set your desired date range using the date selector in the top right
- Apply any filters or segments you need (e.g., filter by campaign type, segment by device)
- Click the Download button (download icon, located in the toolbar above the data table)
- Select .csv from the format options
- The file will download with all visible columns and rows from the current view
Method 2: Export Predefined or Custom Reports
- Click Reports (the reports icon) in the top navigation bar
- Select Predefined reports (Dimensions) to choose from standard report types, or click Custom to build your own
- Configure the report with your desired metrics, dimensions, and date range
- Once the report is generated, click the Download button (download icon at the top of the report)
- Choose CSV as the export format
- Custom reports let you combine dimensions and metrics in ways that the default campaign views do not
Method 3: Schedule Automated Report Exports
- After creating a custom report, click the Schedule button
- Set the frequency (daily, weekly, monthly) and email recipients
- Scheduled reports are emailed as CSV attachments, which you can then import into clariBI regularly
Tips for Clean Exports
- Add the columns you need before exporting — click Columns > Modify columns to add metrics like conversion value, ROAS, or quality score to your export
- The Search Terms report (Keywords > Search terms) is extremely valuable for understanding which actual queries are triggering your ads
- For large accounts, filter by campaign or date range before exporting to keep file sizes manageable
