How to Export CSV Data from Deputy and Import It into clariBI

Export employee timesheets, schedules, and workforce data from Deputy as CSV and import it into clariBI for AI-powered labor and scheduling analysis.

Deputy is a workforce management platform used for scheduling, timesheets, and team communication. Exporting your Deputy data into clariBI lets you analyze labor costs, overtime trends, scheduling efficiency, and attendance patterns with AI.

Export CSV Data from Deputy

Method 1: Timesheets Export

  1. Log in to your Deputy account at app.deputy.com
  2. Click Timesheets in the main navigation
  3. Select the Date Range you want to export using the date picker
  4. Apply any filters for Location, Department, or Employee as needed
  5. Click the Export button (download icon) in the top-right corner
  6. Select CSV as the export format
  7. The timesheet data will download as a CSV file

Method 2: Schedule Export

  1. Navigate to Schedule in the main navigation
  2. Select the week or date range you want to export
  3. Click the Export button at the top of the schedule view
  4. Choose CSV to download the schedule data

Method 3: Reports Export

  1. Go to Reports in the main navigation
  2. Select the report type (e.g., Timesheet Detail, Hours Summary, Leave Report)
  3. Set the date range and apply any filters
  4. Click Export CSV to download the report data

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Export timesheets after they have been approved to ensure you are working with finalized, accurate hours
  • Use the Timesheet Detail report for the most granular data including individual clock-in and clock-out records
  • Filter by location or department before exporting if you want to analyze specific teams separately

Import Your Data into clariBI

  1. Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
  2. Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
  3. Click the + Add Source button (top right)
  4. Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
  5. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Deputy - Timesheets January 2025")
  6. Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
  7. Click Create Data Source

Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "Which departments have the highest overtime hours this month?"
- "Show me a comparison of scheduled hours vs. actual hours worked by location"
- "What is the average shift length by employee over the past quarter?"

clariBI's AI will automatically analyze your data and suggest relevant insights.
