Export CSV Data from ClickUp

Method 1: Export from a List or Folder

  1. Log in to your ClickUp workspace at app.clickup.com
  2. Navigate to the Space, Folder, or List you want to export
  3. Switch to List view for the best export results
  4. Click the Customize button in the upper-right corner of the view
  5. Click Export from the menu
  6. Click Download to save the CSV file
  7. The CSV file will contain all tasks in that view with their field values

Note: Download links expire after 1 hour. Be sure to download your file promptly.

Method 2: Export from Workspace Settings

  1. Click on your workspace avatar in the bottom-left corner
  2. Go to Settings > Imports/Exports
  3. Select the Spaces, Folders, or Lists you want to export
  4. Start the export and download the file when it is ready
  5. This method is best for exporting large amounts of data across your entire workspace

Method 3: Export with Filters Applied

  1. Open a List or Folder view and apply filters (e.g., by assignee, status, priority, date range, tags)
  2. Once the filtered view shows the tasks you want, click the Customize button in the upper-right corner
  3. Click Export > Download
  4. The export will include only the tasks matching your active filters
  5. Download the CSV file (link expires after 1 hour)

Method 4: Export Custom Fields

  1. Before exporting, ensure your custom fields are visible in the List view by clicking Show/Hide columns
  2. Add the custom fields you want included in the export
  3. Export using any of the methods above
  4. Custom field values will be included as additional columns in the CSV

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Export from List view rather than Board view to ensure all columns and custom fields are included
  • Use ClickUp's built-in filters to create focused exports for specific sprints, milestones, or team members
  • Include the task ID column in your export to maintain unique identifiers for each task
