Bill.com (now BILL) is a leading accounts payable and receivable automation platform for small and midsize businesses. Exporting your Bill.com data into clariBI allows you to use AI to analyze payment cycles, vendor spending patterns, cash flow timing, and outstanding obligations.

Export CSV Data from Bill.com
Method 1: Bulk Export via Settings
- Log in to your Bill.com account at app.bill.com
- Click Settings (gear icon) in the left-hand navigation
- Under Data Management, click Import/Export
- Select the record type you want to export (e.g., Bills, Invoices, Vendors, Customers)
- Configure any filters or date ranges
- Click Export to generate the CSV file
- The file will download or be emailed to you when ready
Note: You need the "Sync with Accounting System" permission to access bulk data exports.
Method 2: Export Vendor or Customer Lists
- From the left navigation, click Vendors (or Customers)
- Review your list and apply any necessary filters
- Look for the Export option at the top of the list view
- Click Export and select CSV
- The list will download to your computer
Method 3: Export Bills or Invoices from List View
- Navigate to Payables (or Bills) in the left navigation for bills, or Receivables (or Invoices) for invoices
- Use the filters to select the status, date range, or vendor/customer you want
- Click More actions at the top of the list
- Select Export .CSV or Export to Excel
- The data will download to your computer
Tips for Clean Exports
- Bill.com's AP Aging and AR Aging reports are particularly valuable for cash flow analysis in clariBI
- When exporting payment data, include the "Payment Method" field to analyze the breakdown between ACH, check, and credit card payments
- If you use departments or locations in Bill.com, include these fields in your export for more granular analysis
Import Your Data into clariBI
- Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
- Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
- Click the + Add Source button (top right)
- Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Bill.com - AP Aging Report Feb 2025")
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
- Click Create Data Source
Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "What is my total outstanding payables amount by vendor?"
- "How long is my average payment cycle for bills?"
- "Show me which vendors I have spent the most with this year"
