Amazon Advertising provides campaign management for Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, and Sponsored Display ads on the Amazon marketplace. Exporting your advertising data into clariBI enables you to analyze product performance, ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales), and campaign ROI.
What You Can Export from Amazon Ads
- Sponsored Products campaign performance (impressions, clicks, spend, sales, ACOS)
- Sponsored Brands campaign data (impressions, clicks, spend, new-to-brand metrics)
- Sponsored Display performance (viewable impressions, clicks, DPVR)
- Keyword and search term level performance data
- Product targeting and ASIN performance
- Placement reports (top of search, rest of search, product pages)
- Campaign budget and bid data
- Daily and date-range performance trends
Export CSV Data from Amazon Ads
Method 1: Export from Campaign Manager
- Log in to the Amazon Advertising console at advertising.amazon.com
- Select the correct marketplace and advertiser account
- Navigate to Campaign Manager from the left sidebar or main navigation
- Choose the campaign type: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, or Sponsored Display
- Set your desired date range using the date range selector
- Apply filters by campaign status, portfolio, or search by campaign name
- Click the Export button (download icon at the top of the campaign table)
- Select CSV as the export format
- The file will download with campaign-level performance data
Method 2: Export from Reports Center
- Navigate to Reports (or Measurement & Reporting > Reports) in the left sidebar
- Click Create Report to generate a new report
- Select the report category: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, or Sponsored Display
- Choose the specific report type:
- Search term report: Shows which customer searches triggered your ads
- Targeting report: Performance by keyword or product targeting
- Placement report: Performance by ad placement location
- Advertised product report: Performance by individual ASIN
- Campaign report: High-level campaign performance summary - Set the date range (daily, summary, or custom range)
- Click Create Report or Run Report
- Once the report is generated (this may take a few minutes), click Download to get the CSV file
Method 3: Scheduled Reports
- In the Reports section, select a report type and configure it
- Toggle the Schedule option to set up recurring report generation
- Choose frequency (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Scheduled reports appear in your Reports list for download
- Download the CSV from the scheduled reports list when available
Tips for Clean Exports
- The Search Term report is essential for understanding which customer searches drive your sales — this data is extremely valuable for keyword optimization analysis in clariBI
- Amazon reports can take a few minutes to generate — check back in the Reports section for your download link if it is not immediately available
- ACOS (Advertising Cost of Sales) is Amazon's key efficiency metric and is included in most exports — clariBI can help you track ACOS trends over time
Import Your Data into clariBI
- Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
- Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
- Click the + Add Source button (top right)
- Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
- Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Amazon Ads - Sponsored Products Performance Jan 2025")
- Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
- Click Create Data Source
