How to Export CSV Data from Airtable and Import It into clariBI

2 min read Updated February 11, 2026
Export table views, filtered records, and project data from Airtable as CSV files and import them into clariBI for AI-driven analysis of your structured data.

Airtable combines the simplicity of a spreadsheet with the power of a database, making it ideal for project management, CRM, content calendars, and more. Exporting your Airtable data as CSV and importing it into clariBI lets you apply AI analytics to any structured dataset you manage.

What You Can Export from Airtable

  • Table records with all field types (text, numbers, dates, selects, links)
  • Filtered and sorted views as focused datasets
  • Project management records (tasks, statuses, assignments, deadlines)
  • CRM data (contacts, companies, deals, activities)
  • Content calendar and editorial planning data
  • Inventory and product catalog records
  • Event planning and attendee tracking data
  • Any custom database structure you have built

Export CSV Data from Airtable

Note: CSV export from grid views is only available on the Airtable web and desktop apps. This feature is not available on mobile.

Method 1: Export from Grid View

  1. Open your Airtable base and navigate to the table you want to export
  2. Switch to a Grid view (CSV export works from grid views)
  3. Apply any filters, sorts, or hidden fields to customize what gets exported
  4. Click the ... (three dots) menu at the top-right of the view toolbar, or click the view name dropdown
  5. Select Download CSV
  6. The CSV file will download with the data exactly as displayed in the current view — hidden columns and filtered-out rows are excluded from the export

Method 2: Export Specific Views

  1. Create a new view in your table (e.g., filtered for a specific status, date range, or assignee)
  2. Apply the filters and hide any columns you do not need
  3. Use the view menu or ... menu to select Download CSV
  4. Each view can be exported independently, giving you targeted datasets
  5. Repeat for additional views if you want separate CSV files for different slices of data

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Create dedicated views with the exact filters and visible fields you want before exporting
  • Linked record fields export as comma-separated record names, which may need cleanup for analysis
  • Multi-select and attachment fields export as comma-separated values within a single cell
