How to Export CSV Data from Acuity Scheduling and Import It into clariBI

Acuity Scheduling is a client appointment scheduling tool popular with service-based businesses. Exporting your Acuity data into clariBI allows you to analyze appointment trends, revenue by service type, and client booking behavior using AI.

Export CSV Data from Acuity Scheduling

Method 1: Export Appointments

  1. Log in to your Acuity Scheduling account (accessed via your Squarespace account or directly at acuityscheduling.com)
  2. Click Reports in the left-hand navigation
  3. Click Import/Export
  4. Select a date range for the appointments you want to export
  5. Choose whether to include cancelled appointments
  6. Select which intake forms to include in the export
  7. Click Export Appointments and the CSV file will download to your computer

Method 2: Export Client List

  1. From the Acuity interface, click Reports in the navigation
  2. Click Import/Export
  3. Click Export client list to download a CSV of all your client contact information
  4. Alternatively, use the Acuity API for programmatic access to appointment and client data

Tips for Clean Exports

  • Select specific appointment types when exporting to create focused datasets for analysis — for example, export consultations separately from recurring sessions
  • Include payment data fields in your export if you want clariBI to analyze revenue alongside appointment volume
  • Export intake form responses only when relevant, as they can add many columns to your CSV

Import Your Data into clariBI

  1. Log in to your clariBI account at claribi.com
  2. Click Data Sources in the left sidebar
  3. Click the + Add Source button (top right)
  4. Under Direct Upload, select CSV File
  5. Enter a descriptive name (e.g., "Acuity - Appointments Q1 2025")
  6. Click the upload area or drag and drop your CSV file
  7. Click Create Data Source

Once imported, you can ask clariBI questions like:
- "Which appointment types generate the most revenue per month?"
- "What is my no-show and cancellation rate by day of the week?"
- "How has my average number of daily bookings trended over the last 6 months?"

clariBI's AI will automatically analyze your data and suggest relevant insights.
