Connect Electricity Maps to clariBI with your API token to sync hourly grid carbon intensity for the zones you choose, read-only, with auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.
## Connect Electricity Maps to clariBI The Electricity Maps connector syncs the recent hourly carbon-intensity history of the grid zones you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. ### What you need - An Electricity Maps API token from your [Electricity Maps account](https://www.electricitymaps.com/platform/api). - The grid zone keys you want (for example DE for Germany, US-CAL-CISO for California). The public `/v3/zones` endpoint lists every zone key. ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find Electricity Maps. 2. Paste your API token. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest and sent as the auth-token header. 3. Enter the grid zone keys to track. 4. clariBI syncs the readings, preprocesses them, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each zone: the recent hourly carbon intensity in gCO2eq/kWh, with the reading timestamp. The connector reads only and never changes anything.
