Brevo MCP Integration

2 min read Updated May 21, 2026
Email marketing campaigns, contacts, lists, transactional emails, and SMS data from Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) for full marketing analytics.

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is an EU-headquartered email + SMS marketing platform with transactional, marketing, and CRM features in one stack. Connecting Brevo to clariBI brings campaign analytics, contact growth, transactional volume, and SMS deliverability into your AI analyses.

Why connect Brevo

Brevo holds marketing, transactional, and SMS data in one place — but cross-channel questions ("did our newsletter campaign also lift transactional opens?") usually require manual joins.

With clariBI through Brevo, you can ask "What was our open-rate trend month over month?", "Which lists have the highest bounce rate?", or "How does SMS click-through compare to email?" and the AI engine routes to the right MCP tool.

How the connection works

clariBI talks to Brevo through its hosted MCP server at https://mcp.brevo.com/v1/brevo/mcp. Authentication uses an API key you generate in your vendor account. Tokens stay encrypted server-side and never leave clariBI in clear form.

Available tools

clariBI exposes the read-only Brevo tools that the vendor's MCP server publishes at connection time. Write operations (create, update, delete, send, refund) are filtered out by a name-pattern blocklist before any tool reaches the analysis engine, so connecting Brevo cannot modify data on the vendor side.

The exact tool inventory depends on the Brevo features your account has access to. After connecting, try a few natural-language questions to see what Brevo data clariBI can pull.

Data flow during analysis

When you ask a question that maps to Brevo, the AI engine routes to the right tool, reads the result, and pairs the answer with a chart you can pin to a dashboard.

Setting up the connection

  1. Open Data Sources in the clariBI sidebar.
  2. Click Add data source.
  3. Open the MCP Servers tab.
  4. Click the Brevo card.
  5. In a new tab, sign in to Brevo and generate a read-only API key.
  6. Paste the key into clariBI and click Connect.
  7. Give your data source a name.
  8. Click Finish.

Permissions and data access

clariBI requests read access via your Brevo MCP API key — scoped to contacts, lists, campaigns, transactional emails, and SMS reporting. No campaigns can be sent, no contacts can be modified. Revoke the key from Brevo Settings → SMTP & API anytime.
