Connect the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to clariBI with your API key to sync monthly economic series (CPI, unemployment, wages) for the series you choose, read-only, with auto-generated dashboards next to your business data.

## Connect the U.S. BLS to clariBI The BLS connector syncs the monthly history of the economic series you choose, read-only, and builds an insights dashboard next to your other data. ### What you need - A free BLS API key from [bls.gov/developers](https://www.bls.gov/developers/home.htm). - The series IDs you want (for example CUUR0000SA0 for CPI-U, all items). You can look up IDs with the [BLS series-ID guide](https://www.bls.gov/help/hlpforma.htm). ### Steps 1. In clariBI, open **Data Sources** then **Add Data Source** and find the U.S. BLS. 2. Paste your BLS API key. It is Fernet-encrypted at rest. 3. Enter the series IDs to track and set the start and end year. 4. clariBI syncs the monthly values, preprocesses them, and builds a dashboard you can query and pull into reports. ### What gets synced For each series: the monthly value (year and month). Months with no published value are skipped. The connector reads only and never changes anything.
