What is Alpha Vantage?
Alpha Vantage is a market-data provider offering free and paid APIs for stock, ETF, forex, and crypto prices, plus fundamentals and technical indicators.
clariBI reads Alpha Vantage through its REST API using your own API key: daily open, high, low, close, and volume for the symbols you choose. Access is read-only, and clariBI never places a trade or changes anything in your account.
How to connect Alpha Vantage
- Open Data Sources in clariBI. In clariBI, go to Data Sources → Add Data Source, find Alpha Vantage, and paste your Alpha Vantage API key (free from alphavantage.co). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.
- Choose symbols and history. Search and select the tickers to track, then choose compact (about 100 trading days) or full history. clariBI reads prices read-only.
- Sync, then get dashboards. clariBI syncs the daily prices, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "How did our key holdings move this quarter?" and the AI engine queries the synced prices alongside your revenue.
