What is Polygon.io?

Polygon.io is a market-data provider offering real-time and historical prices for stocks, options, forex, and crypto through a clean REST API.

clariBI reads Polygon.io through its REST API using your own API key: daily open, high, low, close, and volume aggregate bars for the tickers you choose. Access is read-only, and clariBI never places a trade or changes anything in your account.

Connect Polygon.io in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source, find Polygon.io, and paste your Polygon.io API key (free from polygon.io). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

2

Choose tickers and history

Search and select the tickers to track, then choose how many days of daily history to pull. clariBI reads prices read-only.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the daily aggregate bars, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "How did our key holdings move this quarter?" and the AI engine queries the synced prices alongside your revenue.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the Polygon.io connector:

  • Daily open, high, low, close, and volume per ticker
  • Price trend and volatility over your chosen window
  • Candlestick view with a close-price trend line
  • Relative performance across the tickers you track
  • Volume shifts around earnings or news dates
  • Cross-source: share price moves → campaign timing → revenue

Polygon.io is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

clariBI pulls daily aggregate bars for the tickers you select through the Polygon.io REST API, lands them as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes them on your schedule. Access is read-only.

For each selected ticker, clariBI syncs daily open, high, low, close, and volume, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports.

clariBI only ever reads. It never places a trade or changes anything in your Polygon.io account.

Cross-source questions Polygon.io makes possible

Polygon.io data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

Polygon.io × Revenue

"Do our sales track the share price of the sector we sell into?"

Planner: read daily closes from Polygon.io, align to your daily revenue, and report the correlation over the same window.

Polygon.io × Ad spend

"Did market volatility line up with our campaign performance?"

Planner: read price volatility from Polygon.io, join to ad spend and conversions by date, and flag the weeks that diverged.
