About DataForSEO
DataForSEO is an SEO and AI-visibility data provider. Its LLM Mentions API shows which domains AI assistants cite for a question, and its Labs and SERP APIs cover rankings, keyword metrics, competitors and live Google results including AI Overviews.
clariBI reads DataForSEO through its REST API with your own account login. For each domain, intent and keyword you enter, in each market you select, it captures how often the domain is mentioned in AI answers, the questions and sources behind those mentions, which domains AI answers mention for each intent, the keywords the domain ranks for, its position distribution, the domains that compete for the same keywords, and the live Google result page with the AI Overview. Every sync is dated and appended, so the trend builds over time. Access is read-only.

Open Data Sources in clariBI
In clariBI, go to Data Sources > Add Data Source, find DataForSEO, and paste your DataForSEO API login and password (from app.dataforseo.com API access). clariBI verifies them immediately and stores them encrypted.
Describe what to monitor
Type your domains and your competitors, describe the buyer intents to watch in AI answers in your own words and add the keywords to track in Google, tick the markets (for example Czechia · Czech, Slovakia · Slovak, United States · English), and choose which of the nine datasets to collect.
Check the estimate, sync, then get dashboards
The form shows the estimated DataForSEO cost per sync for your selection and which market pairs each module can serve. clariBI then syncs, preprocesses the results, and builds an AI-visibility and rankings dashboard. Ask "Where do competitors get recommended by AI instead of us?" and clariBI reads the synced data.
Questions you can ask
Asking in plain English uses AI credits, so it needs the trial or a Starter, Professional or Enterprise plan. Totals and trends are computed from the synced rows; the AI plans the question, picks the chart and writes the explanation.

What do I need to connect DataForSEO?
Your DataForSEO API login and password from app.dataforseo.com API access. clariBI verifies them when you connect, encrypts them at rest, and there is no OAuth popup to complete. LLM Mentions endpoints require an active LLM Mentions subscription on your DataForSEO account.
Which markets and languages are supported?
Pick any combination of country and language. The Google SERP module accepts every pair. The LLM Mentions API and the DataForSEO Labs API (rankings, domain overview and competitors) each serve a narrower list, which clariBI reads from your account when you connect. The form shows which pairs each module cannot serve, and clariBI never spends a request on them. ChatGPT mention data exists for the United States in English; other markets return Google AI Overview data.
How much does a sync cost?
DataForSEO bills per request: LLM Mentions about $0.10 per request plus $0.001 per returned answer, live AI answers about $0.03 per intent and market, Google rankings about $0.01 per request, and SERP about $0.002 at the standard priority clariBI uses (results arrive within minutes and are collected automatically). The AI visibility share module checks up to 10 domains in one request; mention detail sends one request per domain, and AI coverage and corpus answers one per intent (intents that end up with the same search words in a market share one request). clariBI shows the estimated cost per sync before you connect; syncs run weekly by default and you can pick daily or manual.
Do I have to guess the exact prompt people type into AI assistants?
No. You describe each intent in your own words, in any language. For the AI coverage and corpus modules clariBI turns every intent into a few search words in the language of each selected market (for example "konsolidac" and "skupin" for Czech) and finds the AI answers whose question contains them, in any order and grammatical form. The words used are shown next to the data. AI coverage then ranks the domains those answers mention and shows your share and your competitors' share per intent.
What is the difference between the AI-answer modules?
"AI coverage by intent" counts, per intent and market, which domains the answers DataForSEO has collected mention, and how often. "AI answers about your intents" lists those answers with the question asked and who is named. Both depend on what DataForSEO has collected, so a niche intent in a small market may return nothing. "Live AI answers" sends each intent as written to ChatGPT with web search from each selected market and records the answer, the sources it cites and whether you or a competitor is named. It always answers, in the language of your text.
Which clariBI plans include DataForSEO?
Every plan can connect DataForSEO, within its data source limit: 3 on Free, 5 on Lite, 10 on Starter, 50 on Professional and 100 on Enterprise. Each source gets an automatic dashboard on every plan.
