CoinAPI + clariBI

Connect CoinAPI with your API key, type the symbol ids to sync, and get daily crypto OHLCV history from 370+ exchanges sitting next to the revenue and treasury balances it moves with.

Native CoinAPI data-source connector.

Paste your CoinAPI API key, type the symbol ids to track, and clariBI syncs their daily OHLCV history into preprocessed datasets and auto-generated dashboards, right next to your other tools.

What is CoinAPI?

CoinAPI is a cryptocurrency market-data provider with unified REST APIs covering real-time and historical OHLCV, trades, and order-book data from 370+ exchanges under one consistent symbol scheme.

clariBI reads CoinAPI through its Market Data REST API using your own API key: daily open, high, low, close, and volume for the symbol ids you choose (for example BITSTAMP_SPOT_BTC_USD). Access is read-only, and clariBI never places a trade or changes anything in your account.

Connect CoinAPI in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source, find CoinAPI, and paste your CoinAPI API key (free starter credits from coinapi.io). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

2

Type the symbol ids and history

Type the CoinAPI symbol ids to track (for example BITSTAMP_SPOT_BTC_USD), pick the period, and choose how many days of history to pull. clariBI reads prices read-only.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the daily OHLCV, preprocesses it, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "How did our crypto holdings move this quarter?" and the AI engine queries the synced prices alongside your revenue.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the CoinAPI connector:

  • Daily open, high, low, close, and traded volume per symbol id
  • Price trend and volatility over your chosen window
  • Candlestick view with a close-price trend line
  • Relative performance across the symbol ids you track
  • Volume shifts around market or product events
  • Cross-source: crypto price moves → treasury value → revenue

CoinAPI is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

clariBI pulls daily OHLCV history for the symbol ids you type through the CoinAPI Market Data REST API, lands it as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes it on your schedule. Access is read-only.

For each symbol id, clariBI syncs daily open, high, low, close, and traded volume, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports.

clariBI only ever reads. It never places a trade or changes anything in your CoinAPI account.

Cross-source questions CoinAPI makes possible

CoinAPI data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

CoinAPI × Treasury

"How did our crypto treasury value track the market this quarter?"

Planner: read daily closes from CoinAPI, multiply by your held balances, and report the treasury value over the same window.

CoinAPI × Revenue

"Do our crypto-paid sales rise and fall with the coin price?"

Planner: read daily closes from CoinAPI, align to your daily revenue, and report the correlation over the same window.
