What a template defines

• The questions the report should answer
• The metrics and KPIs to calculate
• The chart for each metric
• The sections of the report
• The kinds of source it expects, used to recommend your connected sources

Metrics are computed from your data; the AI writes the text around them.

The library

clariBI has 320 report templates (and 58 dashboard templates) in 27 categories:

Almost all templates are marked for Starter and above, which the trial also sees. Free and Lite cannot generate reports.

Finding a template

• Reports > New Report: a search box over name, category and keyword.
• Reports > Templates: cards filterable by category and by source, including a Multi-Source filter. Each card shows its recommended and required sources and why they are recommended.
• Templates in the sidebar: the marketplace with report and dashboard templates. See Template marketplace.

Some templates are general enough for almost any data; others expect a particular source, such as Stripe or Google Search Console. The recommended sources on the card tell you which.

Your own templates

On the Templates tab you can create a custom template: a name, category, description, industry, the metrics and the preferred charts. Custom templates can be edited or deleted from their card.

After generating

A report is independent of its template once it exists. Editing the template later does not change reports already generated.
