About SerpApi
SerpApi is a search-results API that returns structured results from Google and other search engines, including the organic listings, their rank positions, titles, and links.
clariBI reads SerpApi through its REST API using your own API key: for each query you track, it captures the current organic results with their rank positions. Access is read-only, and clariBI never changes anything in your SerpApi account.
Vendor site: serpapi.com
What clariBI syncs
clariBI pulls the current Google search results for the queries you select through the SerpApi REST API, lands them as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes them once they are more than a day old. Access is read-only.
For each query, clariBI syncs the organic results with their rank positions, titles, links, and domains, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports. Each sync captures the SERP as it stands, so repeated syncs build a ranking history over time.
clariBI only ever reads. It never changes anything in your SerpApi account or in any search engine.
What you can chart
- Rank position of each organic result per query
- Which domains hold the top positions for your terms
- Your own listing's position when it appears
- Title and snippet of each ranking result
- Comparison across the queries you track
How to connect SerpApi
Open Data Sources in clariBI
In clariBI, go to Data Sources > Add Data Source, find SerpApi, and paste your SerpApi API key (from your SerpApi dashboard). The key is stored encrypted.
Enter the queries to track
Type the search queries to monitor (for example your brand name or the terms you rank for). clariBI pulls the current Google results for each and reads them read-only.
Sync, then get dashboards
clariBI captures the organic results, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "Where do we rank for our top terms?" and clariBI reads the synced results alongside your traffic.
Questions you can ask
Asking in plain English uses AI credits, so it needs the trial or a Starter, Professional or Enterprise plan. Totals and trends are computed from the synced rows; the AI plans the question, picks the chart and writes the explanation.
- "Did our ranking gains turn into more organic clicks?"
- "Which of our top terms actually drive revenue?"
About the SerpApi connector
What do I need to connect SerpApi?
A SerpApi API key from your SerpApi dashboard. You paste it into clariBI once; it is stored encrypted, and there is no OAuth popup to complete.
Can clariBI change my SerpApi account?
No. The connector only reads the current search results for the queries you track. It never changes anything in your account or in any search engine.
Which clariBI plans include SerpApi?
Every plan can connect SerpApi, within its data source limit: 3 on Free, 5 on Lite, 10 on Starter, 50 on Professional and 100 on Enterprise. Each source gets an automatic dashboard on every plan. Asking questions in plain English, AI reports and adding endpoints from the SerpApi catalog need the trial or a Starter, Professional or Enterprise plan.
Try SerpApi in clariBI
The trial lasts 14 days, includes 50 AI credits and needs no card. When it ends, your account moves to the Free plan and keeps its data and dashboards.
