What is SendGrid?

SendGrid is an email delivery platform that sends marketing and transactional email at scale and tracks how each send performs.

clariBI reads SendGrid through its v3 REST API using your own API key: the daily account statistics for your email program, including requests, delivered, opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes. Access is read-only, and clariBI never sends an email or changes anything in your SendGrid account.

Connect SendGrid in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source, find SendGrid, and paste your SendGrid API key (create one with read access under Settings → API Keys). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

2

Choose how much history

Set how many days of daily statistics to pull. clariBI reads your account-wide email stats read-only, aggregated by day.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the daily statistics, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "Did our open rate move with revenue?" and the AI engine queries the synced stats alongside your business data.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the SendGrid connector:

  • Daily delivered, opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes
  • Open rate and click rate trends over your chosen window
  • Deliverability trend: delivered versus bounces and blocks
  • Engagement seasonality across the days you track
  • Send volume lined up with signups or orders by date
  • Cross-source: email opens and clicks → signups → revenue

SendGrid is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

clariBI pulls your daily account email statistics through the SendGrid v3 REST API, lands them as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes them on your schedule. Access is read-only.

clariBI syncs the daily count of requests, delivered, opens, clicks, bounces and unsubscribes, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports.

clariBI only ever reads. It never sends an email or changes anything in your SendGrid account.

Cross-source questions SendGrid makes possible

SendGrid data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

SendGrid × Revenue

"Do days with higher email engagement show up in revenue?"

Planner: read daily opens and clicks from SendGrid, align to your revenue by date, and report how much of the change tracked engagement.

SendGrid × Signups

"Did our send volume drive new signups?"

Planner: read daily delivered and clicks from SendGrid, join to your signups by date, and flag the sends that converted best.
