Pipeboard + clariBI
Connect your Google Ads data through Pipeboard's MCP endpoint. Read-only OAuth, campaign performance next to the revenue it drives. An alternative to clariBI's native Google Ads source for teams already on Pipeboard.
Native Pipeboard connector via the MCP catalog.
Connect with OAuth and keep the access read-only. clariBI also has a native Google Ads data source; pick Pipeboard if your ad accounts are already authorized there. Either path lands the same campaign metrics in your analyses.
What is Pipeboard?
Pipeboard is a connector platform that exposes the major ad networks (Google, Meta, TikTok, Snap, Reddit) to AI assistants over MCP. You authorize your ad accounts once at Pipeboard, and it reads campaign data through the official platform APIs without holding your platform passwords.
clariBI reaches Pipeboard's Google Ads endpoint through OAuth: campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and performance metrics such as spend, clicks, and conversions. clariBI already ships a native Google Ads data source, so treat Pipeboard as a second route to the same numbers, useful when your accounts already live in Pipeboard. clariBI reads only; it never changes a campaign.

Connect Pipeboard in three steps
Open Data Sources in clariBI
In clariBI, go to Data Sources → Add Data Source → MCP Servers tab. Find Pipeboard in the catalog and click Connect. If you would rather connect Google Ads directly, the native Google Ads source is in the same Add Data Source flow.
Authorize with Pipeboard (OAuth)
A Pipeboard sign-in opens in your browser. Approve the read access to the Google Ads accounts you linked at Pipeboard. clariBI uses Dynamic Client Registration, so there is no Pipeboard app to set up, and credentials are Fernet-encrypted at rest.
Ask questions, get dashboards
clariBI surfaces spend, clicks, conversions, and cost per conversion. Ask "Which campaigns spent the most last week?" and the AI engine reads Google Ads through Pipeboard alongside your revenue and analytics data.
What you can analyze
Out of the box with the Pipeboard MCP connector:
- Spend, clicks, and conversions by campaign over time
- Cost per conversion by ad group
- Keywords spending budget without converting
- Impression share and click-through rate trends
- Top campaigns by conversion volume in a period
- Cross-source: ad spend → conversions → revenue per campaign

What the AI engine can call
clariBI discovers Pipeboard's tool surface at connection time and exposes the read-only tools to the planner. Write or configuration tools are filtered out by the catalog's read-only heuristic, so the connector stays analytical.
When you connect, clariBI lists the tools the Pipeboard Google Ads endpoint advertises and keeps the read-only ones: reading campaigns, ad groups, keywords, and performance metrics. Pipeboard also exposes campaign-management tools; those write actions are filtered out so the connector stays analytical.
Anything that would change Pipeboard is excluded at the catalog layer and never reachable through clariBI.

Cross-source questions Pipeboard makes possible
Pipeboard data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.
Pipeboard × Stripe
"Which Google Ads campaigns actually drove paying customers, not just conversions?"
Planner: read conversions per campaign through Pipeboard, then match against paid subscriptions in Stripe over the same window to find the campaigns behind real revenue.
Pipeboard × GA4
"Where does paid-search spend send traffic that bounces?"
Planner: read spend and landing pages per campaign through Pipeboard, then join to GA4 bounce and engagement for those pages.
Pipeboard connector FAQ
How is this different from clariBI's native Google Ads source?
Both read the same Google Ads metrics. The native source connects your Google Ads account directly over OAuth; the Pipeboard connector routes through Pipeboard, which is handy if your ad accounts are already authorized there. Pick whichever fits how your team manages ad access. You do not need both.
Do I need to register an app with Pipeboard?
No. clariBI uses Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so the connection credentials are issued at connect time. You do authorize your ad accounts inside Pipeboard first.
Can clariBI change my campaigns or budgets?
No. Pipeboard exposes campaign-management tools, but the catalog's read-only heuristic filters every write action out. clariBI reads campaigns, keywords, and performance; it never creates, edits, or pauses anything.
Which clariBI plan includes the Pipeboard connector?
