Lucidchart + clariBI
Connect Lucidchart through clariBI's MCP catalog. Read-only OAuth, and your diagram library turned into an inventory you can count by team, owner, and last-edited date.
Native Lucidchart connector via the MCP catalog.
Connect with OAuth, keep the access read-only, and ask questions across Lucidchart and your other tools in plain English. The setup is the same one-click flow as Google Analytics, Stripe, Meta Ads, or Jira.
What is Lucidchart?
Lucidchart is a visual collaboration tool for diagrams that cross team boundaries: flowcharts, org charts, process maps, network and system diagrams, and entity-relationship drawings that product, operations, and engineering all read.
clariBI reaches your Lucidchart account through its hosted MCP server: document search, document and page metadata such as title, owner, version, and page count, collaborator lists with roles, and page-to-image export. Reads inherit the connected user's access, and clariBI never edits a document or changes who can see it.

Connect Lucidchart in three steps
Open Data Sources in clariBI
In clariBI, go to Data Sources → Add Data Source → MCP Servers tab. Find Lucidchart in the catalog and click Connect.
Authorize with Lucidchart (OAuth)
A Lucid sign-in opens in your browser. Approve the read access. clariBI uses Dynamic Client Registration, so there is no Lucid app to register, and credentials are Fernet-encrypted at rest.
Ask questions, get dashboards
clariBI surfaces document counts, ownership, and edit recency. Ask "How many diagrams did each team create this quarter?" and the AI engine queries Lucidchart alongside your project and headcount data.
What you can analyze
Out of the box with the Lucidchart MCP connector:
- Document count by owner, team, or folder
- Diagrams created or last edited within a chosen window
- Stale documents untouched for months
- Collaborator count and roles per document
- Page count distribution across documents
- Cross-source: process maps per team → Jira tickets that reference them

What the AI engine can call
clariBI discovers Lucidchart's tool surface at connection time and exposes the read-only tools to the planner. Write or configuration tools are filtered out by the catalog's read-only heuristic, so the connector stays analytical.
When you connect, clariBI lists the tools your Lucidchart MCP server advertises and keeps the read-only ones: searching documents, reading document and page metadata, listing collaborators, and exporting a page to an image.
Anything that would change Lucidchart is excluded at the catalog layer and never reachable through clariBI.

Cross-source questions Lucidchart makes possible
Lucidchart data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.
Lucidchart × Jira
"Which of our process diagrams map to active engineering work?"
Planner: list documents and their owners from Lucidchart, then match against Jira projects and open issues by team to flag diagrams with no active work behind them.
Lucidchart × HR roster
"Do our org charts match the current headcount?"
Planner: read the org-chart document's collaborators and last-edited date from Lucidchart and compare its update recency against the latest headcount roster.
Lucidchart connector FAQ
Do I need to register an app with Lucid?
No. clariBI uses Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591), so Lucid issues the connection credentials at connect time. You do not manage any keys in clariBI.
Can clariBI edit my diagrams or change sharing?
No. The catalog exposes read tools only, and the read-only heuristic filters out anything that writes. clariBI searches documents, reads metadata, lists collaborators, and exports a page image; it never edits a diagram, creates a share link, or adds a collaborator.
How much analytics value is there in a diagramming tool?
It is honest to say the surface is modest. clariBI reports document inventory, ownership, edit recency, and collaboration, which is most useful for auditing a large workspace or composing with other tools, not for revenue dashboards on its own.
Which clariBI plan includes the Lucidchart connector?
MCP integrations are available on the Trial, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans. You can connect Lucidchart during the free 14-day trial.
