Hugging Face + clariBI

Connect the Hugging Face Hub through clariBI's MCP catalog. No login needed for anonymous use, just live model, dataset, Space, and paper search next to your own analysis.

Native Hugging Face connector via the MCP catalog.

Connect with one click, no key required for anonymous use, and ask questions about the open-ML Hub in plain English. The connector is read-only and the endpoint is public, so it only ever reads the Hub.

What is Hugging Face?

Hugging Face is the community hub for open machine learning. It hosts hundreds of thousands of models, datasets, and interactive Spaces, indexes machine-learning research papers, and publishes documentation for its libraries.

clariBI reaches the Hub through its hosted MCP server: semantic search over Spaces, a repository search across models, datasets, and Spaces, research-paper search, repository detail lookups, and documentation search. The endpoint is public and works anonymously, so no key is required, though Hugging Face rate-limits anonymous use.

Connect Hugging Face in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data SourceMCP Servers tab. Find Hugging Face in the catalog and click Connect.

2

Connect, no sign-in needed

The Hugging Face endpoint is public and works anonymously, so there is no login screen and no key to paste. Clicking Connect registers the read-only Hub connector and you are done.

3

Ask questions, get dashboards

clariBI queries the Hub on demand. Ask "Which trending text-generation models from this org are largest?" and the AI engine reads the public Hub and builds the comparison.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the Hugging Face MCP connector:

  • Model, dataset, and Space search with org and tag filters
  • Trending or recent repositories by sort order
  • Research-paper search across the Hugging Face paper index
  • Repository detail: downloads, likes, and metadata for a repo list
  • Documentation search across Hugging Face and Gradio libraries
  • Cross-source: a Hub model shortlist → your own evaluation or cost sheet

Hugging Face is one of 90+ vendors in the clariBI MCP catalog. See the full list →

What the AI engine can call

clariBI discovers Hugging Face's tool surface at connection time and exposes the read-only tools to the planner. Write or configuration tools are filtered out by the catalog's read-only heuristic, so the connector stays analytical.

When you connect, clariBI lists the tools the Hugging Face MCP server advertises and keeps the read-only ones: Space search, repository search, paper search, repository detail, and documentation search.

Anything that would change Hugging Face is excluded at the catalog layer and never reachable through clariBI.

Cross-source questions Hugging Face makes possible

Hugging Face data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

Hugging Face × your eval sheet

"Of the models we shortlisted, which have the most downloads and likes on the Hub?"

Planner: read repository detail for each shortlisted model from the Hub, join to your uploaded evaluation sheet by repo id, and rank by downloads and likes.

Hugging Face × papers

"Which recent retrieval-augmented-generation papers reference models we already use?"

Planner: search the Hub paper index for the topic, read the referenced repos, and match them against your in-use model list.

Hugging Face connector FAQ

Do I need a Hugging Face account or a key to connect?

No. The Hugging Face MCP endpoint is public and works anonymously, so clariBI sends no login or key by default. Anonymous use is rate-limited; Hugging Face documents setting an HF token for higher limits if you need them.

Can clariBI change anything on the Hub?

No. The connector reads public Hub data only: searching repositories, papers, and Spaces, reading repository detail, and searching documentation. It cannot create, edit, or delete a repository.

Which clariBI plan includes the Hugging Face connector?

MCP integrations are available on the Trial, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans. You can connect Hugging Face during the free 14-day trial.
