What is Folk?

Folk is a lightweight CRM for managing people and companies across the groups your team works in.

clariBI reads Folk through its v1 REST API using your own API key: people, companies, and groups. Access is read-only, and clariBI never edits a record in your CRM.

Connect Folk in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source, find Folk, and paste your Folk API key (Settings → Developers). The key is Fernet-encrypted at rest.

2

Choose the records to sync

Pick the objects to pull (people, companies, groups). clariBI reads them read-only and follows the next-page links to the end.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the records, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Ask "How many new people did we add per week?" and the AI engine queries the synced CRM data alongside your revenue.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the Folk connector:

  • People and companies created over time
  • New records per week or month
  • Records by group
  • Companies by industry or employee range
  • Record growth lined up with campaigns or hiring
  • Cross-source: new contacts → closed revenue → forecast

Folk is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

clariBI pulls the records you select through the Folk v1 REST API, follows the next-page links to the end of the list, lands it as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes it on your schedule. Access is read-only.

For each selected object, clariBI syncs the records with their creation dates, groups, and attributes, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports.

clariBI only ever reads. It never edits a record in Folk.

Cross-source questions Folk makes possible

Folk data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

Folk × Revenue

"Do the companies we added this quarter turn into revenue?"

Planner: read company creation dates from Folk, join to closed revenue by account, and report the conversion lag.

Folk × Marketing

"Which campaigns grew our contact list the most?"

Planner: read person creation dates from Folk, align to campaign dates, and rank campaigns by net new people.
