Docker Hub + clariBI

Connect Docker Hub with no API key, choose the image repositories to track, and get pull and star counts sitting next to the adoption and revenue they move with.

Native Docker Hub data-source connector, no key needed.

Pick the image repositories to track, and clariBI syncs their current pull and star counts into preprocessed datasets and auto-generated dashboards, right next to your other tools. Public repository data reads with no API key.

What is Docker Hub?

Docker Hub is the registry most teams pull container images from, and its public API reports the total pull count and star count for each repository.

clariBI reads the Docker Hub repository API: the current pull count and star count for the image repositories you choose. You type the "namespace/repo" names, and the connector reads the counts read-only. No API key is required for public repositories.

Connect Docker Hub in three steps

1

Open Data Sources in clariBI

In clariBI, go to Data SourcesAdd Data Source and find Docker Hub. There is no API key to paste for public repositories, so you go straight to choosing repositories.

2

Choose image repositories

Type the repositories to track in "namespace/repo" form (for example library/nginx for an official image, or yourorg/yourimage). clariBI reads the pull and star counts read-only.

3

Sync, then get dashboards

clariBI syncs the current counts, preprocesses them, and builds an insights dashboard. Each sync records a fresh point, so the counts build into a trend over time, and the AI engine queries them alongside your business data.

What you can analyze

Out of the box with the Docker Hub connector:

  • Current pull count and star count per repository
  • Growth between syncs as the counts accumulate
  • Relative adoption across the repositories you track
  • Pull-count momentum next to your release dates
  • Container adoption next to your funnel or revenue
  • Cross-source: image pulls → sign-ups → revenue

Docker Hub is one of many data sources you can connect to clariBI. See the full list →

What gets synced

clariBI pulls the current pull and star counts for the repositories you select through the Docker Hub API, lands them as a preprocessed dataset, and refreshes on your schedule. Access is read-only.

For each selected repository, clariBI syncs the current pull count and star count, then builds an insights dashboard you can query, extend, or pull into reports. Each sync adds a fresh point, so the counts build into a trend over time.

clariBI only ever reads. It never pushes images or changes anything in the repository.

Cross-source questions Docker Hub makes possible

Docker Hub data is most useful next to your other tools. clariBI's planner composes it with your CRM, billing, and product data through the same entity-join primitives that back every cross-source analysis.

Docker Hub × Releases

"Did pulls jump after we shipped the new image tag?"

Planner: read the pull count from Docker Hub across syncs, mark your release dates, and report the change in pulls after each release.

Docker Hub × Sign-ups

"Is container adoption translating into product sign-ups?"

Planner: read pull-count growth from Docker Hub, align to your sign-up count by date, and report where adoption led conversion.

Docker Hub connector FAQ

Do I need an API key for Docker Hub?

No, not for public repositories. clariBI reads the public pull and star counts with no token. The connector reads read-only and never changes anything.

Does the connector give me a download trend over time?

Docker Hub reports a current total pull count, not a daily series. clariBI records a fresh point on each sync, so the counts build into a trend the longer the source stays connected.

Which clariBI plan includes the Docker Hub connector?

Data-source connectors are available on the Trial, Starter, Professional, and Enterprise plans. You can connect Docker Hub during the free 14-day trial.
