How It Works

Conversational analytics uses advanced AI to understand your natural language questions and automatically generate the appropriate data queries. This feature is powered by OpenAI's GPT models and integrated with your connected data sources.

Example Questions

  • • "What were our top 10 products by revenue last month?"
  • • "Show me the customer acquisition trend for Q3"
  • • "Which marketing channels have the highest conversion rates?"
  • • "Compare sales performance across different regions"

Getting Started

1

Connect Your Data

Before using conversational analytics, ensure you have connected at least one data source to your clariBI account. This could be a database, spreadsheet, or any of our supported integrations.

2

Open Ask clariBI

Click "Ask clariBI" in the sidebar to open the conversational interface. Type your question in plain English and press enter.

3

Review Results

The AI will process your question and return results in the form of charts, tables, or insights. You can ask follow-up questions within the same conversation session.

Best Practices

  • Be specific: Include time periods, metrics, and dimensions in your questions
  • Use business terms: Refer to your data using familiar business language
  • Start simple: Begin with basic questions and gradually increase complexity
  • Ask follow-ups: Build on previous answers to explore deeper insights

Limitations

While conversational analytics is powerful, keep these limitations in mind:

  • • AI responses consume credits from your monthly allocation
  • • Complex queries may require multiple iterations to get optimal results
  • • Data quality affects the accuracy of insights
  • • Some very specific or technical queries may need manual query writing

Troubleshooting

"I'm not getting the results I expected"

Try rephrasing your question with more specific details, or check that your data source contains the information you're looking for.

"The AI says it can't find the data"

Ensure your data source is properly connected and the field names match what you're referencing in your question.

"I've run out of AI credits"

Upgrade your plan or wait for your monthly credits to reset. You can check your usage in the account settings.
